Denmark’s most ambitious project for the energy efficient renovation of childcare centres
Hoeje-Taastrup Municipality is deep-renovating 27 day-care centres, typically dating from 1970-1980, to low energy standard.
There are greater energy savings – and thereby better total economy – by renovating to low energy standards rather than just to the minimum requirements. The annual savings on the heating bill is 50-60%.
We also get a healthier and much better indoor climate with warm and comfortable floors and no cold drafts at floors, windows and walls which reduces absence due to illness among children and employees.
