Bosco Verticale - two buildings to bring forest life to the centre of Mailand | 08/12/2011

Two highrise buildings are under construction in the heart of Mailand, Italy. The building envelopes are covered with as much plant life as in an acre of forest. The building design aims to create an urban ecosystem that offers sustainability that everyone can benefit from.

Sustainable energy projects have reduced CO2 emissions in Bulgaria by more than 800,000 tons | 24/10/2011

A total of 243 projects for energy efficiency in industry and renewable energy implementation (amounting to 130 million euros) have been made with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development funding since 2004, equivalent to more than 10% of the electricity produced by the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant.

Danish government: “50 percent of power consumption from wind power in 2020” | 24/10/2011

The new Danish centre-left coalition government has increased targets on wind capacity, with wind power set to represent 50 percent of the total power consumption in Denmark in 2020.
